    Hi everyone,

I've created a curator group on steam showcasing games made with Unity.
I couldn't find an up-to-date list of games made with unity. The only curator similar to this is outdated and hasn't posted anything since 2017, big games also seem to be missing on there (eg; rust)
I'd like this to be the go-to list for Unity games on Steam.
If anyone asks about games made with unity, please link this to them.
This is now the biggest list for unity games on steam

    https://store.steampowered.com/curator/39750107/

(PS: If you're looking for an example of a published, active commercial game using DOTS. Check Craftopia*, I believe they're using DOTS)

    * Not related to them (nor do I even play the game) but I'm sure some will find it interesting.
    * I remember the devs mentioning the fact they're using DOTS. But it's a long, hazy memory. there's a fairly small (but existing) chance that I'm mis-remembering.

Depending if OP will stick to this forum, or came just to advertise self.

I got feeling, it will be soon another outdated list of Unity games on steam :)

Sounds like a plan. Dyson Sphere Program is a factory game where the ultimate goal is to build a dyson sphere. It's an early access game that was released a few days ago and is being made by a team of five from China. Aside from some quality of life features like you would find in Factorio it's in both a very solid and playable state.

Are you intending to make a curated, best-of list or a comprehensive, all-inclusive list?

Already on the list! Added it a few days ago.
I've went the extra mile to make sure any game that got a nice amount of traction is engine-checked. You'll note some chinese/asian games where I had to ask around or check the game files to find out if it's using Unity or not.
I plan on sticking to the group, it won't be another outdated list. I've always had a (passion?) of finding out what engine games use, only now I chose to list it for unity.

This... I'm not sure about. I welcome any suggestions.
I was thinking a curated list, doesn't have to be best-of, but games that got some traction at least. Ignoring games with very few reviews.

But I haven't decided yet, I'd love to hear what decision would be best and why, as I'm really unsure right now.

Also, there's no point of advertising this. It will never be "big" enough to give me any benefits no matter what. I'm purely doing this out of interest and personal annoyance that there's no good list out there. With the hope my work will be seen/used by others.

Added a bunch of games suggested here. Thanks!
Also added more top-selling games, did some digging for asian games :)

    - I've given an extra focus on top-selling games, the first 5-9 pages or so.

    Up to 70 games now!
Added 15-20 games today, will add a few more

Added a bunch of games today, I think for now the list is good.
There's really not much to add unless I go deep and stop curating games, most top sellers are in.
Just need to wait for new hit-games to add.

If anyone has suggestions, let me know and I'll add them.
PS: Valheim is using unity ;)

Haha... I'm too scared to try them.. for exactly those reasons. Being addicted to Rocket League was bad enough!

For the record, playing too much Factorio can cause hallucinations.
Not sure if a 3d game can have the same effect.

    Little update:

I've been actively adding games. Games I never thought were using unity end up in the list. Pretty cool stuff.
the list is fairly big now, with a *ton* of 'curated' games.

I made up my mind about curating games -- I try to keep a quality standard for the games added.
To be fair, I do understand that people have different quality standards, but I try to keep it pretty open.
If you check the list, you'd get an idea of what I mean.

If you got any suggestions, let me know!

I checked out the storefront you were mocking and then your storefront. In your promo the trigger pull/ammo load system jerks like crazy. The soldiers at the door have their feet sliding around like a drunken Michael Jackson moonwalking on ice. It seems you are relying on accurate firearm models and the rest is just flipped assets with little care as to proper integration such as Foot IK in the Mecanim setup the soldiers use. If I was curating theirs would be above yours.

I mean, its actually got a sizeable userbase and looks sort of fun? Can you say the same about your forever in EA game that has high realism at the cost of actual fun that has next to no users and cannot matchmake due to this?

Everything about that game look as professional, if not more professional than your game, so I dont think you are in any place to be mocking it :) At least it actually was profitable :)

Nothing's wrong with your game (or anyone's), but to clarify I have 3 things I look at:

    1. Sales (All time popularity)
    2. Ratings (how well was it received)
    3. Game

Out of these, three is the least important.

If i ignore the first two, there would be too many games and the list would be cluttered. There's a lot of unity games on steam. And I try to be open minded with gameplay, so even if I personally don't like a game, I'll still add it. Most games on the list are ones I'm not interested in.
Although three is mostly there to bypass the first two if it's special enough.

And like I said, people have different tastes, 2d, 3d, pixel, low-poly, realistic, and so on.
Many people are disgusted by pixel graphics, or low-poly graphics, but many love it. (e.g: valheim).
Some people think 2d games are bad, others disagree.

If your game isn't on the list, it doesn't mean your game is bad. It just means out of the three things I check, it's lacking in one or more.

You need to test the game to curate it. Its why we have a feature to send out keys to steam curators. Just going by number of reviews on steam is a worthless metric (or close to worthless).

It's not that type of curating. I'm not reviewing games based on fun, this is an engine list, just not an all-inclusive, any game using unity, list.
Probably shouldn't have said comprehensive in the title, but to be fair, I didn't decide on this back then.

I could've went that route, but I'm more interested in this type of list.
If anyone is down to create a list like that, by all means go ahead.

We released this this month. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1536590/Cyclotronica/

We are finishing up the first subatomic physics sandbox over the weekend sou the player can mess with particle bombardment of any atom/s or isotope/s and watch the fission, fusion, decays, particle emissions and log the events for study later., We will be adding a cyclotron apparatus track builder as a second in the next week or two that will be able to shre their build by copy-pasting a string into the builder field and hitting a button. We have a few more levels demonstrating skyrmion electron tornados in graphene layers and nucleon bombardment to create Oganesson in the gameplay almost there as well..balancing.. It is gonna be buy once, no DLC and forever upgrades.

I am glad, you made to the steam. Also it is nice of you, having some shared git animation resources.
    Yeah, well done. :)
I feel like another game to be add to the list.
