Gameobject Label Display

    Hi,

    It seems that you changed the way Labels are display for GameObjects.

    Now, they fade... which is cool in a way, but not for my case.

    I need to have an overview of a big area with a lot of empty gameobject with just labels.

    I could increased the "3D Icons" size in the Gizmos window, but that also resize others that I don't want to see.

    Any chance to have a checkbox somewhere to tell Labels to have old or new behavior ?

    Hi Ziboo,

    Yeah we did change the behvaiour of labels when the "3D Icons" option is enabled in the gizmos menu.

    If you uncheck the "3D Icons", they revert to the old behaviour.

    I don't really understand scaling labels. Labels are for text. I had to write a function to replace the old functionality. The reason for this is I need 3D icons because it somehow affects 3D line rendering too (they lose depth and draw on top of things, so I can't have both).

    Still, I haven't had positive experiences with the new behaviour. Seems a little kindergarten and strange design to have giant text labels. What is the rationale for it?
