    Hello everyone,

I (my company) recently launched GameDevPlanet.com, a site that aggregates game development news from the best places on the net and gives you an easy way to search through it. (Unity3D content is prominently featured, of course.) Soon to come: an Editor's Picks section that users can submit stories to, rank, and be moderated onto the front page –just like Reddit or Slashdot.

    Give me some feedback?

    Thanks,
    -CJ

I can't. My microphone's too far away from your loudspeaker.

But seriously folks: That's a lot of feeds you've got there. It's all a bit meh though visually. Just a big page spamming me with everything from "What are uni programming courses like?" to "How Unity's graphics testing is holding up four years on from my last blog on the subject!*"

Aggregation alone isn't much use to me. It needs filtering. As home pages go, yours doesn't do anything for me.

Also, you could have made your URL clickable. Click the "globe with a chain in front of it" icon in the editor to add the necessary markup tags.

    * (SPOILER: It's holding up rather well.)

Actually I'm jealous, I made something similar but it got deleted by a friend :(

Looks very good, I'll be checking it out.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be making some interface changes over the coming weeks. The "Channels" selector will be promoted to the front page, search will be made more obvious, and the main feature will be a "Editor's Picks" blog of recent game dev news.

You might want to focus on the channels aspect: offer "channels" of news dedicated to specific fields and subjects. Let users create their own news channels using tags. Perhaps even supporting the publication of user-defined channels—with identity icons / images and the usual social media connectivity—if possible, to give the site a more TV EPG-like interface.

Not every feed needs to be textual either: you could support video, podcasts, and even relevant internet radio links, so don't stick too closely to traditional print models for the design.

You have an extra E in there unless ".come" is the new ".xxx" ;)
