    Hello all,

    I'm here just looking for a little advice. I got a degree in physics and I like what I do but I can't see myself doing this for the rest of my life. I've been doing a lot of odds and ends on unity as a hobby and I really enjoy programming and helping make games. I've always had a passion for games but when deciding a degree it seemed like artists were the only ones making games and I am no artist. Now that I've seen that my math skills are something I could apply to one of my passions I'm considering getting a degree in either programming or game design.

    I would have to do an online degree since I still need to work in order to pay for it. I also don't know what's the average day and development cycle is like for someone in either of those fields. I know the gist and what I've heard through the grapevine but nothing from an actual professional.

    So what I'm asking is, what programs would you recommend? Is there anybody who can tell me more about the career fields after the degree? Is this something I can get a dependable job in? Any information would be helpful to help make a decision about if this is worth the extra student loans.

    Thanks!

    If someone is considering variants where to study game design and get an on-capmus/online master's, I would recommend these programs:
    MPhil/PhD Intelligent Games & Game Intelligence (collaborative programme by dissertation writer Vikki Bell from Goldsmiths, the University of Essex and the University of York);
    Online Master of Science in Game Production and Management at the University of Advancing Technology;
    Online Master of Arts in Game Design at Lindenwood University
