Thomas P., who runs the Unity Artists forum is too shy to hype his video tutorials, but I think they're a very worthwhile purchase for new Unity users. Help him out and perhaps we will see more advanced training from him soon!

Awesome! Have you posted this in External Tools as well? If not then you might want to do that so more folks see this news. :)

    Kudos guys!

    Done.

To clarify, I had nothing to do with this video. I'm only a satisfied customer looking to help the creator spread the word. These forums are so busy that many postings are buried after only a few days and the last time this video was mentioned was several months ago.

Thomas didn't want to be perceived as "spamming" this site, but I think promotion of third party add-ons and training kits should be encouraged.

how much of this video focuses on Unity and how much on Cinema 4D? I am really not interested in the Cinema 4D stuff.

It's very Cinema4D centric, but the level creation/lightmapping workflow it describes can very easily be applied to other 3d apps.

It's definitely aimed at beginners, though.

If i understand exactly, this is a video about c4d where the author makes a level that will be used after in unity? sounds interesting, but there are free videos that does the same (using modo or cheetah), so i wonder how good is this video, compared to the free material (except the better resolution :D)

Thomas demonstrates an interesting workflow for level creation within C4D that is very worth checking out. He emphasizes the establishment of a uniform scale and uses grid snapping extensively to build and lightmap a fairly complex interior level. I've seen the other free tutorials on the subject and these are very complementary.
