FurGen

Does anyone know of an application I can get that can generate textures like FurGen in this ATI pdf?

This effect you cant make only with textures.
You need a shader.

I said clearly I'm looking for an app that can generate those textures... Look at page 5 and 6 of the PDF. Maybe FurGen itself is just in RenderMonkey? I shall look.

edit: It's a plugin to RenderMonkey. Case closed.

 

I don’t want to put anyone on the spot but rombowich fur can be created without a shader. I think the artist just needs to know how the shader works technically in order to recreate it without a shader. With a little work its possible.
