[FULL TIME | REMOTE] Unity Developer

Rainbow Design Services is a leading provider of network engineering, field services, and GIS mapping services in the telecommunications industry. We are seeking Unity programmers for the development of an engineering tool which will display telecom networks in a 3D environment—a software suite which has the potential to revolutionize our industry.

This position will join a collaborative team of designers and programmers of varying experience levels. The Unity programmer will be responsible for developing, testing, optimizing, and maintaining operational infrastructure, as well as performing version upgrades. Experience with Unity GUI, object-oriented design principles, asset bundles, and script writing is required. This position will collaborate closely with team members to deliver end-user data through the Unity 3D front-end, and work toward the resolution of any database-related challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing, building, and maintaining operational infrastructure to support databases
• Writing efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Ensuring quality of performance and responsiveness of applications
• Identifying bugs and devising solutions to address issues
• Understanding performance and scaling of databases
• Collaborating with team members to create, publish, and maintain database
• Troubleshooting and timely resolution of database-related issues
• Ensuring adequate backup of database and perform recovery duties as needed
• Advising team members and providing guidance as needed
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum: 2 years of experience with Unity 3D development
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other technical field preferred
• Master’s Degree in a technical field a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Node.js, ASP.Net, C#, Java Script, XML, HTML, and various No-SQL databases, especially MongoDB
• Proficiency in new and emerging technologies
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and tools
• History working directly with development teams or leading teams
• Must be a proactive problem-solver and demonstrate initiative
• Ability to independently analyze and debug as needed
• Strong logical reasoning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with ECS is a huge plus, as well.
