    Hi!
I just started school and we are using unity. Me and one other guy in my class have a problem where unity freezes. It happens when i try to use it in fullscreen. It happens when i try to pick a color for an asset. Really whenever unity opens a window it freezes/ crashes. Also the editor is behaving strange. As I move my mouse cursor over things stuff stay highlighted. I never get an error messages.

I own a MSI GT72 2QE dominator pro. I use Windows 10. I have gtx980m. My class mate that have the same problem dont have the same MSI laptop. But I do have a mate that have the same MSI as me and his unity works just fine.

I tried removing everything with unity and reinstalling. Tried it again but with Unity 5.0.

I found one thread about this on the internet but their solution was to uninstall all the MSI software which makes no sanse to me. Cause my friends MSI works just fine.

Is anyone else having this problem?

If you read this it means you are a Good person! Thank you!

I'm having this exact same problem - MSI GS70 Stealth Pro. I bought this as a workhorse, so I'm a bit bummed I'm not able to use it to dev. Anyone had any luck trying to solve this?

I have a MSI GT72 2QE dominator pro also and have had the problem of Unity crashing any time I tried to resize any of the panes in the editor ever since I bought the computer this past summer. In previous searches for a solution I had also found posts that suggested uninstalling all the pre-installed MSI software and while that might have worked, I didn't consider it a satisfactory solution since I wanted to keep and use some of those utilities.
After one more search on the topic, I came across this forum post that suggested the problem was related to the Nahimic application. I then tried closing Unity first, then closing the Nahimic application from the system tray and then launching Unity again and THAT DID IT!!! So, the Nahimic software is the problem and you don't need to uninstall it, just exit it before running Unity. Since this particular thread came up in my searches a few times before, I wanted to repeat the solution here for anyone else that finds this thread first.
