Shame for that 1 appstore app requirement, otherwise I would go for it as recently I've started to play with MonoGame and I like it very much.

Does anybody know how long this "free subscription" lasts, however? I am very picky when it comes to "subscription".
Maybe this turns out to be a (renamed) 30 day trial after all? Or do you get it for one year? Or do you keep it?
I haven't found any information on that on their homepage.

 

Thanks for posting this! I got my free subscription with no hassle. For anyone wondering, it's a 1 year subscription for a single seat with no official support (community support only). It defaults an "automatic renewal" but you can turn it off. Just leave the credit card field blank if you're worried and it will still work.

Noooo! Just saw this today

 

Don't be too sad. I'm not having the same ease that mdrotar had. I saw this and was able to put in for it Dec 22nd, but still haven't received the subscription and Xamarin isn't responding to my emails. Not sure what's going on. Maybe they're still working through a pile of submissions?
