    Pretty interesting idea! Guess that can be quite handy for level designers.

    I found it a bit hard to grasp (from the asset store page) what exactly this asset does - the page is a bit overwhelming at first glance. A reduced example could make things clearer - but maybe that's just me.

    That WAILA also seems like a pretty cool feature - have you looked into visually highlighting GOs/the entire hierarchy?

    uContext a set of tools, primarily targeted at designers, united by a common idea: work with content in the editor easier, convenient and faster.
    In addition, it fix some omissions in the built-in behaviors of the editor, like a drag and drop on Canvas, Terrain brush size, etc.

    Thanks for pointing out that it is hard to understand what this asset does.
    I will rewrite the description to put the right accents in the asset features.

    Unfortunately, I did not understand your question.
    The problem in Unity is that you often don’t know what will be selected if you click on Scene View.
    This can be an empty Canvas or collider of another GameObject.
    Or you just can't visually find an object that should be somewhere here.
    WAILA shows one or all of GameObjects under the cursor.
    Smart Selection allows you to select any GameObject from what WAILA shows.
    For example, in the comic above, you can click on Chomper and it will selected.

    Can you add a visibility and a lock button to the bookmarks window? so I can toggle them.

    In the current version of uContext, Bookmarks stores components.
    What exactly should these buttons do with the components?

    I still have to use it but I was looking at the screenshot, It looks nice I will try it first before I can give more feedback.
    I thought it was for game objects.

    Announcement of View States and View Gallery features in uContext v1.3:

    View State - stores the state of the Scene View to restore it later.
    View Gallery - displays images from all cameras in the scene and all View State, and allows you to set views with one click.

    uContext v1.3 will be available next week.

    We're excited to announce the second version of our favorite uContext asset.
    uContext contains many tools for everyone and greatly improves the workflow in the Unity Editor.
    It doesn't matter if you are a level designer, programmer, artist, or just learning Unity.
    uContext can greatly improve your workflow.

    We want anyone to be able to improve their experience with the Unity Editor and uContext v2 will have Basic and Pro versions.
    The basic version will be free for everyone, and will contain almost all the features that uContext v1 has.

    Announcement: Related Components in uContext v2.3

    Often times, the components of a selected GameObject have a logical relationship with components on another (child or parent) GameObject.
    For example, when customizing UI Button, you will most likely want to change the text that is on the child GameObject.
    By default, you need to first select the child GameObject, change the text, and then return to the button GameObject to continue customizing the component.
    uContext simplifies this and shows the related components on the current GameObject, which reduces the number of actions you need to do and saves you time.

    This is a built-in shortcut for Add Component in the Unity Editor.
    uContext simply shows Add Component window under the cursor and adds the ability to show this window when the Scene View is maximized.
    If for some reason you don't like the new behavior, you can disable it in uContext settings.

    gotcha, turned it off.
    Is there a function of ucontext that changes the behavior of pinging? (click on a reference highlights the source) pinging no longer works in the editor and it might be me pressing the wrong option in uContext.

    Hi Dev Team, is this really an great assets that i would like to purchase, this will definitely improve my current workflow, however i have concerns regarding the hierarchy's workflow.

    1. will there be an hierarchy header feature in future ? like when i created an object name "= Environment", the hierarchy will auto a colored background at that very game object to help me category my hierarchy game objects.

    2. are we able to set "Show Components In Hierarchy" to always show instead of showing only when pressed a key ?

    Hi,

    I have the pro version of this. When I run the game a few times and have a script directly dragged to "bookmarks", it gets greyed out and it says "missed" when hovering over it. The bookmark becomes inaccessible after that and I can't find a way to make it work again (i.e. double clicking to make its inspector appear" without readding it. This is all in the same scene and I'm not disabling/enabling the game object which has the script in any way as far as I can see. Any idea how to prevent this or am I missing something?
