Free Multiplayer Alternatives

    Hello,
    I'm working on a turn based game (a card game), and I'm now ready to work on the online multiplayer portion. Could anyone kindly tell me about the free multiplayer alternatives to the new multiplayer services? AFAIK they will be pay to use soon, and since I have a free year of Amazon Cloud I'd like to make use of it by hosting the server itself over there.

    So, could anyone please let me know of any good alternatives? Thank you.
