Ah yes, noticed that there is some legacy documentation there; we'll do a quick edit.

That's a cool look, too bad we can't support it.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

No worries, I paid full price for the AO before it went free, too bad we didn't get to take full advantage of it.

Thank you for your support, it is well appreciated and it helped us keep Amplify Occlusion going for quite some time as we've explained before.

You can still take full advantage of what you acquired, no features were cut; SRP is sadly not going to be feasible.

I have great news-I highly recommend anyone who complains or wishes for a HDRP AO solution similar to Amplify Occlusion to be referred to Horizon Based Ambieng Occlusion or HBAO on the asset store for short.
I tested it and it's easy to setup and looks identical to Amplify Occlusion but with even more tweaking and it has a kind of fake GI effect using the Double Bounce feature. So problems no more for HDRP users!

Thank you for your suggestion; it's a different AO technique but it's definitely a choice for anyone looking for occlusion on HDRP.

    Hello there,

I'm afraid that it's not possible to exclude objects from the Occlusion effect.

It doesn't but you can use HBAO on the asset store which does. I have included some posts about it if you look through the recent posts above.

What Silver said, it does not work with SRP; not recommended.

    Yes but it's awfully slow.
I tried it in a VR project with only 3 objects in the scene. I get down to 18 FPS.

Hi! I am trying to load scene as addressable asset bundle with your shaders, i want to make it to be modular, is it possible to include shader in the scene so it's only in the asset bundle but not in the scene so that i have really small build size?

    thanks

    Hello!

If I'm not mistaken, it needs to be included in the build. I'm afraid we don't have any specific details on Addressable and Amplify Occlusion.

    Hello!

Sure does, but it's a bit performance intensive on older devices.

    Hi,

I am using Bakery to render the lighting in my game. I was checking out this asset because the AO looks really good. I know that Bakery also bakes AO, but I don't think it is as good as this. Do you know if it is possible to use both this package and bakery together at the same time? I'd like to use Bakery to render the lighting, but this for AO. I also know Bakery provides some custom shaders which I am not using yet, but I plan on switching. Do you know if that will complicate things?

    Thanks!

You can use both at the same time without issues.

Hello! I tried to build the Blacksmith sample scene for my OnePlus 3, using the default amplify occlusion settings.
This is the effect I get, there are horizontal and vertical strips artifacts.

And this is what I get in the editor, I am using unity 2019.4.40f with the Built-in pipeline.

I'm putting this on my mobile game but the documentation is quite poor and not up to date. It's kind of confusing, there are some options that can be on or off but there's zero explanation of what it does, and how it affects.

Why it doesn't work for a universal rendering pipeline:(, it would be really very Cool
    can someone help convert shaders:D?

You can check the old manual here:
    http://wiki.amplify.pt/index.php?title=Unity_Products:Amplify_Occlusion/Manual

The problem with URP is we don't have Motion Vectors available, which are really important for this effect to work properly. However, Motion Vectors were finally introduced in URP16 so it might finally be possible.

We don't have time to do it, but we will accept contributors and potentially their submissions / pull requests on https://github.com/AmplifyCreations/AmplifyOcclusion
