I´m starting a list with links to free game ready resource sites.
If you know any other please post a link here.

Hopefully this will prevent "thiefs" from selling the models on the assetstore.

Important: Read the license for the models.

A whole list of free sites. I go there from time to time, a lot of them take some work converting to a format that you can use. But it is worth checking out.

 

Hey I think You should include models posted here on unity forums also. And update your initial post so people don't have to browse. Good initiative.

Pisonics game recources

 

Pisonics game recources. It has sound effects, textures , and models, all to be used commercially or independently.

 

Sharecg, just type in low poly, select format types (or not) and get tons of pages full of models.

 

Dexsoft games is definetly the best place for game resources. Huge amounts of models, sound effects, and/or textures in each set.

 

Marlin Studios also has some good ones. It has nearly 200 buildings with windows and internal floors. There is also a game ready car collection. Plus, there are many HUGE collections of textures.

Be careful that Marlin Studios has different rules for how you can use their models.

For the "treefarm models":
These sample models are for demonstration purposes only and you are not licensed to use these in any project, whether it be personal or commercial. You must purchase the libaries to obtain the license for use. Also, you cannot redistribute these sample models in any way, shape or form. For example, don't share these with your friends or co-workers, resell them, give them away or upload them to any website, including online games or worlds.

For other models:
These samples are royalty free, and we welcome you to use them in your work. However, our licensing forbids distribution of these textures in any way or form. For example, don't share these with your friends or co-workers, or upload them to any website.
