Free Animal - Spider with 2 meshes and 66 animations

Hey folks,

finally our animals are being finished. We are starting with a free release of our lovely spider named Gertrude. Here she is:

Wow looks fantastic! I checked out your site but the link isn't there yet. What other animals are you going to make?

 

Uh, no idea what's wrong there. The page works on the few devices we have tested it. That link actually contains all the animals we are going to release in couple of days... it's the spider, rat, wolf, fox, deer, bear, buffalo and raccoon.

I am a newbie on animations, got the spider Loco_WalkSlow running, but while looping the spider jumps back to startposition. How can I make a continous straight translation or get it "moving" but keeping its position at 0,0,0?

 

disable "Apply Root Motion" perhaps? Havent looked yet

Hi Cascho, sorry for the delay. Not 100% sure if your problem is related to our problem, but we messed up a bit and looks like wrong files made it into the project. We will be sending out updates tomorrow via the mail used for the download, so maybe don't waste your time until then. Sorry for the confusion.

 

Animation quality is nice looking.

 

Still don´t get it correctly set up:
Could someone post me an example scene where this spider is continously walking using "Loco_WalkSlow"?

Finally tracked this spider down.Got her at the tailend of 2015 early 2016 when she was free.Really awesome model.Recently unity decided to delete my entire project where i stored all my models and animations(20 gigs) This was the one model i was most worried about not been able to find/replace Unfortunately i am broke so will have to go without thx alot Unity!! you suck).
All i could remember was the spider had a name and then that i actually found her via the ue4 forums so i got here from there.
