I don't like the new reply box.
This upgrade is horrible. Its worst than before! Bring back the old forum !!!!! :D

Also, what's changed? I see the Reply Box seems to look slightly different, but I don't see any new function in it.

See above. Also there's a WYSIWYG mode, which I don't remember the old one having. (Although WIS is not WIG, regarding the font anyway, so it's a bit of a lie....)

Anyone else having the main forum (http://forum.unity3d.com/forum.php) displaying strange under Chrome (misalignment etc.)

IE 10 and FF seem to be rendering fine.

Edit: Possible cache issue this side too. Working now with Chrome.

If the forums look messed up when you go on them, refresh the page and/or clear your cache.

Also the option to post videos is back.

If you also find a bug or something wrong, please PM me a full description and reproduction steps and a screenshot. Having the problem get lost in this thread is not ideal.

If the forums look messed up, clear your cache <-- don't make me post that in massive letters!

So do we need to go and fix all the posts that had youtube videos in to make them work again as they are still all links? Or will something be turned on that will turn the links into embedded videos again. Thanks

On the bright side - I like that you can edit the title of threads you've started now. And I also like that you can resize the reply box, and it remembers the size. And that the big blue "Reply to Thread" button is above the reply box, so I don't keep pressing it by accident when attempting to post the 2 page long reply, and having it wiped out. :)

I thought there was more maintenance coming up when I saw this thread (to at least removed the badly rendered serif font used in the reply box?). It would be better if the date appeared in the thread title in future similar occurrences.

This thread should probably be closed now, as the upgrade has already occurred.

Might still be useful for bugs/suggestions. For example, now there seems to be a 1-day delay between someone sending a PM and getting the email notification about the PM.

Thats quite a problem for anyone trying to arrange freelance work via PM. I was receiving messages from someone where it said they were offline for 4hours. Bit of an inconvenience.

Well it should work. I've made a topic with that approach which loads up fine. Images are all displayed correctly. Weird stuff.

Indeed. As I said, it was working from my office PC, it just doesn't work here.

I also now understand why I've seen threads in the last 48 hours where people ask for and are giving feedback on images which I can't see.

Yeah we are having a problem with our servers syncing, so sometimes images appear sometimes they don't, I've already raised this to the techs to sort it out. As for the PM's, mine have been fine but I'll look into it.

Reposting here since you rightfully closed my thread and redirected me here.
I'm geting very late email notifications, before the upgrade i usually got updates after 0 to 30 seconds, rarely more, now it's anywhere from 2 hours to, well no clue as i still haven't had some notifications for +24hours, often i'll get a notification 5 hours later about a post in a thread in which i already posted twice in!

I have issues with the forum retaining my posts. After writing a reply, hitting "post" sometimes just takes me to a blank screen with a new post form and my post is lost.

Other times I get a warning about leaving the page, I also lose my post on those cases.

This has happened to me on about half the posts I have attempted to do since the upgrade. It's been rather frustrating but have no way to intentionally reproduce the issue.

This has happened with Internet Explorer 10 and with Google Chrome.

Confirming this happens. Just a hunch: I feel it has something to do with timezones.

    sometimes

    sometimes

    sometimes

    sometimes

    sometimes

Okay, I think this may be an actual really weird bug. It seems that the only consistent way to get a link to underline properly is to use quotes on the URL. Without that, it appears that the previous links (if there are multiple links) will all end up underlined.

Just had two email notifications for threads that were posted to over 60 hours ago, so possibly not time zone related.

I have immediate notification for some threads and I have a huge delay for them as well. I guess immediate notification should not be time zone related at all :) .

If you reload a few times, it should appear. That's an issue with the servers syncing, sometimes it will appear, sometimes it wont.....really annoying I know. I'm poking people to get it fixed.

I've spent a couple of minutes refreshing the page or doing Ctrl+F5 to clear the cache.
The script that gets the image will allways output clear.gif. Bellow is the response header:

    Content-Disposition inline; filename=clear.gif

I haven't tried recently but i had that issue a while back, wanted to unsubscribe to an asset store thread for an asset i was no longer interested in and couldn't.

Edit: just to be clear, this was before forum migration

I am getting my immediate notifications after 3 days! Which is silly and not good for assetstore support topics.

Yes. I could agree that th delay is sometimes greate than 24h. So, no timezone related.

C'mon Unity, pls debug this issue and find out if the problem is with a forum or with the email queue ;)

Same here. After the forum update, immediate email notifications took about one day, now it seems to take longer and longer.

Though, I still like the new forum. Searching All (Forums, Answers and Feedback) works better than ever before!

Yea the zooming is a bit of a pain , specially that it doesn't keep zooming when you hit back , so i zoom, select a thread, read it, hit back, and need to zoom again :(

Overall, I think it's a nice upgrade. I really liked getting the "daily" forum notifications at midnight ... now I'm getting them "now and then in the afternoon", and I think up until now the immediate notifications don't work and I received a notification for a private message like 2 or 3 days later. I have plenty of videos and images in my ScoreFlash forum thread, and they all work - so I'm happy (I have recently seen a few postings with missing images but didn't think of reporting them because I found out about this thread just 2 minutes ago ;-) ).

So, whenever the immediate notifications come immediately again, I'll be very happy about the update :)

One thing I've just noticed: It seems that smileys disappear.

Let me check this: <--- there was a smiley here, then I went to "Advanced" and it was auto-converted to an icon instead of : - )

:) <--- this one came through as : - ) ... but when I edited the posting, it became an icon (and I'm pretty sure when I save the edit, it's gone like the first one)

EDIT: This one should get through (but not auto-converted to icon): :)
