Question Forgot my encryption password

Hello there,

First of all I'm a bit confused on how those Unity Dashboards, Plastic SCM dashboard which is not Unity Version Control, etc etc etc.

But about 2 years ago I think I setup a Plastic SCM with an test project. When I did that I remember setting up an Encryption Password. I don't remember that password.

I have no projects that I care about, so I could reset things, but I'm not sure how.

So, how do I reset my things, so I can start from scratch and setup a new Encryption Password that I will not forget.

I couldn't find the cryptdservers.conf in the PlasticfSCM5\server\ but I delelted the one from the AppData.

I managed to somehow push for some changes and it asked for a new password which I saved so that's good.

The weird thing now is that the local project can't find the Online repository and I don't really know how to delete everything so I can just set things up again. I'm stick on some random errors about not finding the repo, then no workspace, then finding the workspace because I created one, but somehow my changes are .... I don't even know the order of things:



I'm just trying to make my local project forget that it was ever on an online Repo so I can make it again.

 

Never mind.
I deleted the hidden folder from the project file called .plastic. When I reopened the project I was asked again to create a Workspace, etc etc. I managed to commit the project to the online repo, then I was able to view a file online after imputing the new encryption password that I just found.

So everything is fine... for now
