My name is Spencer Boomhower and I've worked in game development, VR and visualization for over a decade, starting at game companies and then going freelance. Unity has been my primary game engine almost since it was released, and I feel like I can build about anything with it.

Please have a look at my demo reel (which is mostly Unity work despite the UE4 thumbnail!):

And you can see my resume here.

    I offer:
    • 10+ years working in game development
    • Expert knowledge of modeling and animating in 3ds Max
    • Expert knowledge of the art, animation and sequence pipeline in Unity
    • Thorough understanding of:
      • Retopo of low poly models with clean, animation-ready polyflow
      • UV unwrapping
      • Baking textures from high to low res
      • Mesh and texture optimization
      • Creation of materials for use in game engines
    • Experience using Substance Painter and Quixel Suite to create PBR materials
    • Experience in ZBrush, Unreal, Mudbox, RealityCapture, Sketchup and Maya
    • Good understanding of anatomy and an eye for detail
    • An ability to work independently and adapt to different styles
    • Excellent communication skills and an openness to feedback
In additions to games I'm also interested in how Unity and other game engines can be put to work for training, education, medical, therapeutic and other "serious game" purposes.

You can reach me at spencer@boomhower.com, message me here or Spencer Boomhower#5802 on Discord.

    Thanks for reading!

Here are some recent Sketchfab samples including some photogrammetry models optimized for use in real-time:

Here's one of my all-time favorite characters, "Sam." The client supplied concept art and I did everything else, from ZBrush sculpt to retopo to very detailed facial rigging. The final product -- for an interactive story game / psychology project -- depended heavily on facial animation.
