Follow curve how-to needed

Hi all!
In standard assets there is a plane flying by curve

Where to find how-to for it?
How to draw that curve, how to make a game object to follow it?

 

Those standard assets are old and in recent version I always have trouble importing them. Unity developers whould upgrade them.

no I didn't had the chance to use it for a project, I'm not familiar with the tool to answer these questions
