Focus Stealing Issue on version 2018.3.7f1

I'm having an issue running Unity on Ubuntu 18.04.2. When I try to test my game in play mode, the editor steals focus from play mode when I press the arrow keys. I can see Unity switching around through tabs when the arrow keys are pressed, and the game in the play doesn't respond.

Possibly this behaviour will be fixed in 2019.1

Tried 2019.1.0b9, and though my issue here is fixed, there are a myriad of other issues with that one for me... Trying 2019.2.0a9
