I am looking to use a fluid simulator to show water flowing through a series of tanks and pipework. Is there a way of measuring flow out from a given section of pipe? I am quite new to unity so thanks heaps in advance!!!
Fluid dynamics are a complicated subject. This is compounded in game engines. Soft bodies and fluids are not exactly easy topics for someone new to the game. Someone ported 2D fluid simulation code into Unity, you may want to peruse the materials for a better idea of what you're after. Remember 3D is only going to be more complicated than this. To your actual question, I found a nifty little calculator which also shows the equation used. Find the values you're using in the simulation and it should be a simple plug'n'play.
