We have just added our water simulation tool to the Asset Store. The flow machine pack consist of 2 different and easy to use extensions. The first, FlowTexture, is used to simulate the flow of water and is perfect for rivers or currents. The second, FlowVolume, simulates the volumetric flowing of water and is perfect for giving a living feel to your world. Both are very easy to use, comes with example scenes and, perhaps most importantly are very cheap to render/compute.

    Yes, the price is high.

Will this work relativly performant on mobile/ios if it is used sparely?

Looks good. Anyone have this that can comment on performance on Windows/Mac and iOS? Agreed that price is a little steep.

Looks good. I like to know the performance under iOS/Android as well.

I am interested in this system. Could this be adopted into using it for bloodflow through arteries, or any fluid inside pipes/tubing.

Interesting, very interesting indeed, anyone tested the iOS, Android performance here?

Please lower the price a bit so people can actually buy it! (I know it's a great tool and all but in the end it's just another feature)

    Thanks

I have been considering buy this, but wanted to get some more information before I do. Unfortunately, your website is currently the end of the internet, and even when it was working yesterday, the flow machine part only had very little information other than the demo. If the demo hadn't been so impressive, I would have moved on.

But since it WAS so impressive, do you have documentation anywhere that I can have a look at?

What is the water source? Can there be multiple instances of it in a scene?

Can two water streams flow together and add to each other?

Can I create a "rain" source? So water begins to rise upon all areas of the terrain? How would this affect performance?

Can I subtract water dynamically? In other words, have it soak in to the terrain at a certain rate?

I realize that some of this, particularly soaking in, is probably not in your release right now, so I'm also interested in how easy it is to tie in to the system, and is it C# or Script?

What I am shooting for is a water simulation that will track moisture content of the soil. I will handle the terrain side of it, but need to be able to access how much water is going over the land in any given area, and "subtract" volume of water based on my terrain simulation. So as water flows over rock, I it will subtract less, as it flows over ground, more. Again, I will provide numbers, but can Flow Machine remove its water in different areas as it goes? As you probably guessed, it needs to be able to rain as well. I have the fake rain effects part, but need to apply a constant additional amount of water across the whole terrain, and smaller areas (for April showers that move across the land.)

Thanks for the info, what I've seen so far is great.
