Resolved Floating Origin

    Will floating origin be a built in feature for Phyiscs & NetCode in the future?

    Hey! Short answer: Can't say, assume no. Our Entities Transport team are still thinking about how best to deal with massive worlds. There are lots of stakeholders on this feature.

    With that said, floating origin is not viable in most multiplayer games, as any freedom of movement allows two clients to move hundreds of km away from each other.
    But, a floating origin following a VIP player could likely work (where other players are locked within a radius), but you'd need your own bespoke solution for that.

    Opting into double precision Positions may be a simpler answer, and is being considered. Again though, nothing concrete at this moment (apologies).
