    Forum bottom left now has this floating icon for cookie settings..
    its animated, distracting, shiny, quite big related to other buttons and links.

    please add option to dismiss it.
    (i don't need to see it more than once, or if i need, it can be in profile settings somewhere)

    The cookie settings can be accessed from the footer anyway, making this badge quite redundant...

    Paradoxically, this “trusted” badge is so intrusive I thought I had either gotten hacked or been infested with malware!

    Same here. I took a chance clicking it to find that it was just cookie settings.

    Not really, cookie popups are required in a fair few regions compared to just having a link tucked away somewhere. This was probably just to ensure compliance.

    That said, all of those have the option to dismiss once done.

    Changing the colour of the banner from blue to black has not improved the situation.

    what a disaster.. but maybe it will get 30% smaller in the next web design/UX team meeting :D

    looks its its using this, and those are the options:

    (not clear if there is option to dismiss banner completely?)

    possibly needs some scripting to hide banner..

    I think it has improved it enough on desktop. I now can ignore it from my peripheral vision.

    On mobile though...

    On desktop can use script locker.

    But on mobile is a pain.
    For now I scroll down and then a bit up, to make it fall down.

    Using 'Stylus' or similar browser extensions this css code hide the badge:
    div#ot-sdk-btn-floating { display: none !important; }

    or
    div#ot-sdk-btn-floating { visibility: hidden !important; }

    Also you may play with opacity number to make it less visible:
    div#ot-sdk-btn-floating { opacity: 0.1 !important; }

    I came here to post about this myself. Here's a simulated screenshot of me posting from my mobile phone. Isn't it annoying? It's just constantly hovering there, partially obscuring the text box I'm trying to type in, with the keyboard already making screen real-estate scarce.

    Also, it's clickable, so have fun trying to select any text in your post, which is already a chore on a mobile device.

    When I'm not writing, it's constantly getting between me and a post I'm trying to read. It makes a chunk of my already small screen useless.

    On desktop it's not a big deal, as the browser is big enough that it's not in the way of anything. On mobile, it's an almost hostile user experience.

    (Not to mention that the design inside the widget is also deliberately bad. The "confirm my choices" button deliberately doesn't look like a button, and the choices are all in sub-menus, so at first glance the only option is "Allow All". Not cool!)

    On the note of (deliberately?) hostile UX:

    upload_2021-6-25_12-6-39.png

    Fair enough if you can't embed videos because of the tracking stuff, but then please at least give us the URL so we can manually browse to them. The first couple of times I saw this I thought they must be Unity-hosted videos, but I see it so often lately I seriously doubt that's the case.

    This is your "privacy" system trying another avenue to nag me into giving it the permissions it wants.

    I agree, whole web changes is very hostile from Unity.
    Is worse from year to year.
    When last time anything in regard of Unit web based stuff has been IMPROVED?
    I completely do not support any of that.

    asked onetrust for help, seems to be one toggle click away:

    " You can disable the blue shield for the GDPR template by going to Templates--> Preference Centre--Button--> Enable hover button. Please disable this option."

    Yes! I don't regularly read the meta-forum discussion forum, but I came here just to complain about this. With my vision I have to zoom-in a fair amount in my browser and this icon is blocking about 14cm square of my window. It frequently covers-up part of my input box when trying to edit a post, just like angrypenguin's screenshot a few posts up.

    I could see the need for this when a user has no privacy settings on file, but once you click "confirm my choices" then it should go away.

    When a video from unity learn is in full screen on a Mac it blocks the play pause button and the normal space bar for pause/play stops working.

    First, Unity Learn is an awesome site. Love it.
    But please fix this. Its always in the way, also play pause space bar doesn't work in full screen.
