Flickering on terrain in some areas

    HI .

    I have a mesh imported on top of terrain , as its lowered down far enough to hide the outer area which doesn't need to be seen ( all flat),yet playing game I see flickering sometimes. Its not a lot, but its def. not going to look good in a game, assuming its not my gpu or something equally odd.

    Any idea what might cause this ?

    I can provide a picture if needed though I'm not sure it would even show up.

    Btw, the flickering of even the beta character ( asset store, unity product) occurs if player is standing high enough up on a slope. The entire character seems to vibrate up and down, and then the terrain does the same, around some of the areas where the 'mesh' terrain is lowered down into unity terrain. If I remove terrain 'mesh', the vibrating continues, so it must be something to do with the beta ethan character.

    Any idea what would cause this ?

    It's likely Z-fighting caused by a lack of precision in the depth buffer. Make your far plane nearer or near plane further.

    PS - Please post screen shots for future visually related issues. Makes it much easier to tell what's happening.

    Ok it seems the character is also slipping (sliding, whatever) down the slope in addition to shaking..

    Maybe this will be enough to diagnose this issue. Trying to find webcam software, as oddly my hardware came with none..who knew.

    Atm, I can't find video software that works decently...so anyone have any ideas atm, without video ?

    Ok,,I increased wize of near var , and the flicking terrain seems to be stopped, but the 'ethan' beta asset character is still 'shakey' when standing on a slope around 30 deg _+..any idea why and how to fix ..is there some formula to use for settings to avoid this ?

    I found the problem. When adding ' is kinematic' the char. stops shaking, but unity won't allow that checkmark on a character...how do I get around this ? ;)
