I dont see a linux editor download option on the page only windows and mac and you probably wanted to post in the 2020.2 forum not the 2020.1

It's the Unity Hub download button; it works for all platforms.

    And yes, wrong forums...

typing in the url listed xz seems an odd extenions but both it and gz error so..

Still not working right now but since it's bedtime, maybe it will be fixed tomorrow. I hope. @LeonhardP

And thank you to the person who moved the thread to its right place.

@LeonhardP Still not working for me. I downloaded another version to see if the problem was on my side but the download is proceeding normally. The problem is not on my side.

    The Linux version?

Still not working for me. It was released 3 days ago and, at this rate, I'll never have the chance to try it.

    Thank you for sharing! :)

@LeonhardP Download fails for me on both Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia and Linux Mint 20 Ulyana.

    @LeonhardP Still not working...

If anyone is interested, here is the content of the Hub log after downloading 2020.2.0a17 failed once again:
    Code (CSharp):
    1. 2020/07/13-10:01:05.654 18e0 Recovering log #73
    2. 2020/07/13-10:01:05.663 18e0 Delete type=0 #73
    3. 2020/07/13-10:01:05.663 18e0 Delete type=3 #72
and the content of the previous log:
    Code (CSharp):
    1. 2020/07/13-09:32:42.057 1639 Recovering log #71
    2. 2020/07/13-09:32:42.067 1639 Delete type=3 #70
    3. 2020/07/13-09:32:42.067 1639 Delete type=0 #71
Looks like this log is just about itself, not about what happens when we use the Hub.

Well well, they did fix it eventually! Downloading now. Not sure it's worth since a18 will be out soon but just for the satisfaction of being able to do it. :p

I'm relatively new to Linux; I didn't know that they have system journals too... It could have helped a little more if I had noticed that before and posted the content of these...

Each time I tried installing a17, this error message was stored in the "Relevés du Système", I don't know what it's called in English, sorry:

    Code (CSharp):
    1. The package providing /tmp/.mount_UnityHtqn95p/unityhub-bin could not be found.
    2. If you want to generate a stack trace for this crash report, please reinstall it.
