Well.... I clicked on free roam, and then It wouldnt let me select the color. I suppose it was already blue.

I have been waiting on this "loading screen" for about 1 minute now.

Is this even a loading screen?

The new version isn't up yet. Sorry. And it does let you select a color. It just doesn't show it yet. you just have to click it. the loading screen is fixed now. There's just no webplayer up yet. Sorry. I will show you guys a new webplayer when I make one. :)

Uhm.. :/ No replies I guess?

New car made! The name is the Karumaz 212F tuner-based car. It has a nice paintjob made by me and the design if 95% me, except the base car. But all the details like the lights and bodykit are designed by me and the kit is mercedes-inspired. :)

Where did the city go? Now it's just an endless highway... Weee. Also, why did you guys destroy the main menu? It looked great before! Now it looks horrible. The red gradient in the speedometer looks atrocious, by the way. Just keeping it black would work much better.

    * The high is the start of the new more detailed city
    * The main menu will feature a fly-through of the city :)
    * The speedometer was just to be a placeholder so there would be one. :p
    Thanks for your comment!

About the highway.. Sure. It's the start of a new city but why would you remove the old city when you just have a highway finished for the new city? Surely the old blocky city would work better for testing.

Thanks guys! More updates! More roads and prototype buildings have been added. The buildings are just there just to know how I want them to look like in that area. I hope you guys like the progress! Oh, and this city is being modeled in Zmodeler.

More progress on the AI traffic! I have modeled my own compact and sedan vehicles. The bus is just a placeholder and I will be modeling one soon. The sedan contains license plates that are randomly picked a texture from a folder. And the vehicles' bodies have a script that randomly picks from 10 colors and applies it to the vehicle. So, it basically works like mm2 and mm1 does traffic vehicle colors! Also, all the vehicles will contain a simple, 'nfs underground'-styled half3Dinterior. The vehicles also contain working tail-lights. :) Hope you like the progress!

Above image, the buses got stuck. I'm reworking the buses, lol.

I had that hankerin to play midtown madness!

If there was documentation i didn't read that or look

Nice progress on the selection screen and the selection of auto's
the vehicle movement control was responsive and i think i noticed a suspension chassis
strange camera angle attempted to use orbit camera (nope)

unfortunately no AI Traffic or traffic light changes
Would have preferred some attention to prop details such as fire hydrants and textures on sky scrappers

Still its progress keep hammering away!

    There's 4 camera views.

Controls: Arrows: driving, Spacebar: Handbrake(needs tweaking), P for the Pause menu, and C for changing cameras! :) I will reupload a new webplayer sometime tomorrow approx 9 am my time(GMT -5). Thanks! :)

Thanks guys! New menu design for the main menu! The buttons are not final, I repeat, the buttons are not final.

good progress man, Seems a shame the frame rate is suffering in the progress of using the effects be it Fog, Car headlights, particle effect shaders or the street lamps.

I get around 45-50 fps in the standalone exe. I need a way to reduce draw culls tho. :/

Removed the road bump map. It had basically no effect anyways and was just eating up resources. Btw, any tips on getting the framerate up? :/

Yes. So I cannot use deferred rendering, which sucks because that's how I could be able to use a heapload of lights..

One advice, you should really optimize your scene because i have a quite low framerate on my laptop. Maybe under 30 fps ?
By viewing what's happen on the screen i should be able to see the content running at more than 200 fps IMHO.

You can hide a lot of elements that are far away, like street lights and stuff like that.
By the way, does Occlusion Culling work on Unity Indie ?

    1. I'm doing all I can for the rendering.
    2. I'm using indie with the MH2 Occlusion culling system.
    3. I don't know what else I can do for the frame-rate. I've optimized my scripts a lot and I still get a
    low frame rate.
    4. I'm also using the Indie Shadow system, which also eats away the framerate by normally 10 fps.

Any advice would be heavily appreciated. :)

    Also.. Final roads completed!
