A small game I made using unity to learn particle systems.
The game haven't been tested much so if you see a bug PLEASE write a comment about it.
You can also write what you thing about the game for example:
Is the game to hard or to easy?
What did you like about the game?

Here's the link to the game:
(YOU DON'T HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING)

Game seems to work as advertised. Its very simple at the moment. I would suggest making it a bit more difficult and add some multipliers. Here are some suggestions

    1. You have a circle around the firework, why not make it detect how close you are to the center of the circle? This way the game has an element of accuracy to it. If you hit dead center you get more points, if you hit the outer edge you get less.
    2. More points for catching them as they come into the screen
    3. maybe some points extra for a last second save as its about to hit the ground?
    4. multipliers for multiple explosions that set each other off

Fun, but definitely too easy IMO.

My recommendation is different types of fireworks that require different actions to set off. Maybe one with two circles you need to click, one where you need to hold the mouse in the circle, ect ect.

Thanks for the feedback hellraizerhhh and Overx !
I will try to implement these ideas in the game. When I'll finished I will upload a new version.

I tried implementing some of the ideas you suggested but it turned that I'll have to rewrite the whole game for that. The problem is that I don't have enough time to do so (the main reason I did this game was to learn more about the particle system).

So I decided it's time to finish this project.

I found 3 sites where you can upload games:

    http://gamejolt.com/developers/ad-sharing/
    http://www.wooglie.com/gamedevelopers.php?subPage=faq
    http://www.kongregate.com/
    Are there more?

I know there are a lot of things I can do to make this game better but I have no choice... (maybe in Fireworks 2:D)

If you find any bugs please write
Also Playtomic shows I'm from Spain(and I'm not), so please write from which country you are and I will compare it to Playtomic's data.

PS: the leaderboards are filled with test scores with strange names, I''ll reset them before the release

    thanks!

I think accuracy can be annoying, but I like some of the suggestions with different kinds of fireworks. I suggest adding more points for when the projectile reaches its apogee. It's another kind of accuracy, instead of aiming a small cursor in a small circle type of accuracy it's time based.

One more thing: how about giving your fireworks a more realistic physics behavior? the fragments of the projectile should inherit the momentum. Couldn't find any illustration online though.

    Thanks for the feed back!
I tried making the game harder but it gets less fun because of that. From what I saw most people enjoy just blowing the fireworks.
Also I read most of the gamers are 19 years old, they don't really like to think.
Also it's hard to change the launch system for the game and this is only a learning project, not a polished game.

    IMPORTANT
I think you played from the old link (I updated it to the new one) and the analytics program didn't see you, can you play the new version?

    thanks!

Seriously... this is simple genius. It's PERFECT for iPhone/iPad. Everyone is posting their RPGs and MMOs on here, but it's really hard to come up with something you can play with just 1 finger that really doesn't need any instructions.

I think if you made a bunch of different waves, had some background music (look for royalty free versions of patriotic song), added some different types of fireworks, made up some points for combos/accuracy, etc. You could really sell this. ALSO... you could re-promote this near July 4th and people will buy it like crazy.

Pretty lights are always nice :D.
I was playing this with music in the background, and tried timing the fireworks to my music, which added an interesting challenge layer. Perhaps it would be nice to make this game about impressing an audience.

Adding music that your target audience likes and creating timing puzzles might take a lot of work, but I think it'll be worth it.

Timing of release with new years eve is probably perfect though, so maybe for next year ;)

I like this too... the challenge of `places to click` moving around the screen with a time limit is quite fun .... it's sort of like fruit ninja but with simple touching instead of swiping .. and the fireworks are a visual reward. .. you could have it that if you get fast enough or enough hits in a row or something then the fireworks get bigger or something.

I does need some more variety and I imagine with a touch interface it'd need to move a big quicker or have more to click.

You should add special fireworks once in a while, that are like warheads, or a really cool explosion particle. :]
