Fire OS Not supported?

In 2016 Unity added Fire OS (used on amazon's Kindle devices): https://unity3d.com/company/public-...-versions-unity-collaborate-feature-and-unity

However, when I put in a bug report for that platform, I was told that Unity no longer supports Fire OS. Can someone from Unity confirm this? If true, when did this happen and where was the announcement?

 

Hi. You are absolutely right that we announced a future supported build for Fire OS back in 2016. We announced that too soon, as the agreement that allows us to do so with full support wasn't in place at that point in time. That agreement between Unity and Amazon never came to fruition and given that there was no further update, we did not explicitly message that we where not adding the Fire OS / Amazon Store / Fire Device build target & support.

It is true that Unity does not explicitly support Fire OS devices and while we will look at larger Android issues, we don't have a specific agreement with Amazon in place allowing us to fully commit to supporting the OS/Devices/Store pertaining to the Amazon Fire OS devices.
