File Uploads in Conversations

I'd like to be able to upload a file (like I can here) to conversations. I work with artists and we're going back and forth a lot, so to show them images embedded in the conversation, I've go to upload them and link to them.

You seem to have more options than I do...
(Drag and drop gives a red-tinted window when the file is being held over it)

 

Well, that's odd. Is it a moderator thing? Seems a rather weird restriction if so.

I would agree. I really think it used to be allowed, but I can't remember for certain.

 

Could be a setting glitch when they switched back to the good forums.

I have the "upload a file" button in this thread. In private conversation I'm not seeing it though.

 

I have a same problem...have the "upload a file" button in this thread but don't in private conversations.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

Yes, but you're not in a conversation, you're posting on the forums, which has always worked.
