Female Human standard naked character

    Hello ereybody,

    my first post and asset here :)
    as I noticed, many people are looking for standard naked character in order tu customize them.
    So i've made this realistic "next gen" female character who can easily have many customization.
    She is around 5700 tris with 2048x2048 Diffuse, Normal and Specular maps. She can also be used with our without normal map. She has been rigged and skinned with 3Ds max biped. The face topology was thought in a way you can make a facial rig if necessary.
    I joined .psd files of the textures, with all details on seperated layers, which allows you a lot more customizations. I also joined a high detailed model (around 22 000 tris) not rigged.
    + some extra .tga textures for a female mannequin also countained in .psd files and 2 animations : walk + idle

    Looks just like the models from Makehuman http://makehuman.blogspot.com/ If anyone needs a fully customizeable human figure I would recommend MakeHuman.

    @ MikeUpchat You should buy new eyes cause there is absolutly no way to compare with your crappy link.

    Iam sorry if I offended you was just pointing out that if people need a base model for customizing that there is a nice easy to use solution out there that instead of giving you one mesh to play with allows you to customize all the features of a body to whatever end the user needs, even morphing the mesh. Again sorry if you didnt think the link was up to posting but makehuman isnt 'that' bad imho

    no problem, but models from your site are not used for video game, no otpimization, no normal mapping etc :)

    Very very good and not overpriced unlike some other people.
    Can't wait for male.
    Will you also make a pack of both male and female at a bit lower price maybe?

    I like this alot too!
    My only critique is that I think she needs a basic hair model.

    Fingers have 3 links? It kinda seems so but better ask to be sure.

    I disagree. It's a basemesh. Hair and everything else you can model yourself. This isn't poser after all.

    There is no porn.
    Nudity =/= porn.

    There are images more pornographic in a church than this.

    Great model and texturing!
    5.7k polys is a bit large, but still a lot better for games than MH's giant 13k+ mesh.
    Perhaps some reduced versions for LOD could be added?

    Also, it would be awesome if you could prepare a MakeHuman compatible version of those base meshes! It supports the import of custom meshes now:

    I think all there is to do is to assign the vertices of your mesh to specific vertex groups in Blender then run the python script kindly provided by MH. At this point it should be fully useable inside MH. :)

    He doesn't use blender and I doubt he will bother doing so since he owns 3ds max.

    @ colinter220 : well yeah this has nothing to do with porn :) as 2dfxman1 said, nudity isnt porn, and she doesnt even have genitals lol. So i dont think breasts shown like this can be considered as porn.
    @ Werewraith : Well its a "next gen" model who can have a facial rig. So i think 5.7 tris is not that big :) anyways i can consider making LOD someday, but not for the moment i have so many things to do ! And well i wont prepare a MH compatible version neither because again as 2dfxman1 said, i dont use Blender and i'm too lazy to learn it now lol + i dont think this would work with normal map : fat guy and thin guy arent supposed to have same muscles etc.
    Anyway, thx 2dfxman1 for defending me since start heh ! :)

    5.7k isn't that much. Important characters for a project I am working on are 10k or more, and that is below the usual industry standard which can be 30k or higher. Anyway, great model, especially for the poly count.

    Agree. Lower polycount would force some parts to become less detailed, which would impact the looks of the model

    Thanks, I think that adding LOD would make this (and the male standard you plan to add) even more standard, as lower resolution ones could be used in game genres that don't require as much detail, too. And then there's the obvious reduced rendering cost when a lot of characters are on screen. :)

    Normals would work through MH btw, using xnormals to transfer them from the high resolution mesh after the export is done. But of course it's all Blender-related, I certainly can't blame you for not looking into that if you're more cofortable with 3DS.

    Keep up the good work! By the way, I had a look at your site, you have a very nice art style. How long have you been at it?

    Again thanks all for your nice comments, i'm very glad thinking i'm doing some useful stuff :).


    okay for the LOD but you will need to wait until i finish what i've started first ^^
    i'm not sure how MH works but if i wanted to upload this female into MH it would need some high detailed mesh, in order to play with it correctly (muscles, fat guy etc), then baking new normal from new high poly mesh on low poly mesh etc.. But MH does that already, so why would you need my model ?

    and i've been working in 3D Art since 3.5 years now.

    Just one question for all us Mac people out here...
    You say it is rigged using Max, so I assume it comes only in .Max format? No chance of an FBX export, maybe?

    p.s. Regarding the nudity:
    I grew up in a country where even the crack in your rear was considered sexually explicit. I recall still when I was very young there was a front page article in our country's largest national news paper: "Shocking! Celeb X tanning nude on the beach"... So inside they had like 4 of 5 photos, none of them showing full frontal, but all of them censoring the top and back... and when I mean censor, I bean a huge black bar covering EVERYTHING... These censored images was front page news...

    So, in my early twenties, I finally saw images that show less than this model (by far) and that was enough to be called porn based on the previous definition :p So then I started doing 3D modeling and found myself staring at high resolution images of every single part of a human body... After a while, instead of seeing nude people I started seeing interesting variations between body shapes and fascinating curvatures... Hell, there was this one girl I worked with, she was really beautiful... REALLY beautiful. We got along real well and we were always laughing at work... And boy did I love to see her laugh...

    The way the bottom lip curved in that direction during this phase of the laugh while this deformation of that part of the lip caused this curvature in that cheek while causing an imperfection on the other cheek as her smile slanted slightly to the left... The way the lips parting forced the cheeks up to the point where it forced the eyes to partially shut, supplemented by the brow widening and the hair .... you get the point...

    Doing modeling for a log enough period of time caused me to loose all sight in the 'beauty of a naked person' and instilled in me an automatic evaluation of the 'beauty of the human organism'.

    Buy nude models and you will see porn all day long. Start creating each of those curves on a per-pixel basis (no short-cuts) and notice how moving a single pixel in the right place with only the slightest of changes changes the body shape from sexy to awkward and you suddenly start appreciating every single curve in every inch of the human body... you'll soon loose the boner when you start seeing tits not as 'nude woman' but 'an interesting deviation from nipple type 6' :p

    @ MrDude : hehe yeah you are right what you said was really a relevant comment.
    The model doesnt come in .max file it is an .fbx export otherwise they wouldn't have accepted it on the asset store :)

    Hey Senkusha,
    this isn't a dumb question but to do so, i would have to remake the whole sculpt (wrinkles, skin etc) + remake textures aswell. So i can't do this right now. Maybe later if this is very necessary and useful for many of you.
