I have a question, what is your favorite 3D platformers game and why. My favorite is the First Jak and Daxter game on the PS2, and was probably the game that got me into gaming.

Also below is a link to a survey about your thought on 3D platformers game; this is for a college project of mine, and the feedback from this survey would help me to make inform decision.

Haven't really touched many of the PS2 platformers with the exception of the first ratchet and clank.

Favourite 3d platformer would be hard to pin point, so many games from the N64 era just evoke so much nostalgia. Banjo-Kazooie, Mario 64 are definitely at the top of my list though.

There's a lot of platformers I won't even remember until someone reminds me about them.

I was always a fan of the Crash Bandicoot series back in the day. There are the Lego games as well, the Star Wars one in particular.

To be honest the question kind of surprised me. Are 3D platformers still a thing? I haven't really heard anyone talking about them or releasing one in ages. That said it's not a genre I pay a lot of attention to.

It seems to be a game genre I remember playing, rather then a game genre I currently play. I guess the assassins creed and it's various clones (shadow of mordor comes to mind) would be the modern equivalent?

It's pretty much just limited to children's games. I would say it's mostly because any challenge to be found in navigation is just asinine bullshit. Even most of the PS2 platformers were mostly some other genre, with a bit of platforming. The main challenges didn't come from navigation.

For me, it's a tie between, Super Mario 3D world or Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.
