Given the same project, and the same internet speed tests, we're seeing the "Checking for Changes" step taking about 10x longer in our Cape Town South Africa studio in comparison to our California studio.

    Is this expected?

Unfortunately, @AdamKane, it is expected to be slower in that area, though I am surprised at the 10x increase. Right now, Collaborate is hosted in California with caching proxies reducing upload and download latency in Frankfurt, Singapore, and Sãu Paulo. We are actively working on changes to increase our global presence that will gradually roll out throughout this year.

If you're willing, I'd love to see a network report taken from the Cape Town area. That might help us understand how traffic is getting routed and impacted from the area to our services.

Thanks for the response. I'm working on getting the network report from my Cape Town studio.
