    It's a combination of both.
He's made the waterfall available on UnityPrefabs.com also.
    The guy is awesome.

    It's impressive...but why do I feel I'm just a feet high?
And the low gravity and speed takes away something from the experience.
Yes, sure you can run around quickly but thats not the point here, is it? Places that are hard to get to adds that sence of; "if only I could reach that point..."
Now I can climb any mountain and go anywhere. Keep some things "just out of reach" and the player will think there is some really interesting stuff there.
Maybe add some secret way there if the player have learnt something special or found something.

I say get camera up at normal eye level and slow the speed down a bit. Make it worth while to take a closer look by adding interesting small stuff.
As it is now I feel I'm just running around the fastest I can to see if you've built anything more exiting anywhere else instead of enjoying whats right in front of me.
Maybe letters with a mysterious touch. Maybe riddles spread around the world. Small stuff. Writings on a wall...you name it.

You already have great mysteric stuff built. Take care of it by thinking through what you want the player to experience.
That adds to the experience as well as gives clues to: Where am I? Who built these things? What happened?
A bit of Myst/Riven touch to it.

Keep up the good work! :)

Keep in mind that this is not a game, only a base to create a game. In fact I tweak camera only to allow people to visit faster the world.

I agree, but add the ability to control your movement while jumping. Nothing kills the fun of exploring the world like missing a jump and having to climb 999 miles back up.

    Amazing!

That's because he appears to have used the FPS walker from the standard assets. Character controllers won't automatically slide down so you have to implement your own.

Really cool. I used the "spiderman" technique to get to the gem cave inside the mountain. Looks great.

    hi botumys, great work :D
really appreciate the progress on this.

in one point i have to agree with pixero.
sometimes i completely loose orinetation if i simply walk through a grassy area. the jump seetings and the walk speed is ok for a quick "walkaround" preview mode.

    keep up the good work,
    cheers siggi :D

A little word to say that Rights on fantasy world are given to Wild games Studio Inc. No further update will be visible.
But certainly a new one with unity 3.0 and it's lovely
    "speed trees-like" module :)

Thx for your encouragement and see you soon!

I have a few technichal questions, I hope you will be able to answer these,

1.How do you use mental ray lightmaps on a terrain ?
I mean the terrain is a procedurel mesh in Unity, do you export it to maya and make a lightmap? and then how do you apply that lightmap to the terrain backwards?

2.why and how use of paint effects in maya to generate trees whose models are for unity?I mean you say that you use the trees from forest package, so why use of paint effects to genarete more trees?

    3. Could you share the scripts or links for
-export trees coordinates in a txt file
-mel script to read this file and place billboards at the same position than in unity
-Raoul's tool get lightmap color and change trees color according to their positions (with variations)

4.How to calculate shadows for other objects like buildings onto the terrain with non pro version?

    5. What is the Forge and Inn texture resolutions, and did you use a final (one) diffuse map multiplied with lightmap?

    Great Work
    Regards
    Gokhan ertem

    1) I export the terrain to obj (script find in the wiki) in maya I import the obj. I place a Top camera in maya and I calculate the lightmap (final gater + shadows). In unity, I duplicate the temporary lightmap made with unity (script on wiki too) and I replace it by the final image create in maya.

    2) in my case, I use paint effect to build trees, convert them to polygons and export them to unity in fbx format. I have just to change seed value to get each time a different tree.

    3) I have to ask to Raoul before.

4)All is made in maya. For exemple, a house is made in maya, I place the house on the terrain (exported from unity into maya) I use this house to cast shadow on terrain when I calculate the lightmap (with primary visibility off), and I bake lighting and shadows into the second uv set of the house to generated house's lightmap. One tips: when exporting a terrain to .obj format, in maya you have to set Rotate Y to -90 to get the correct position between maya and unity.

    5) 1 K for color and 1K for lightmap. One lightmap map shader for each house.

gokhanertem, the script is based on this http://forum.unity3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=45718

The scripts show how you can get the position of a tree.

The only thing I added for botumys is an export function for all tree positions. Have a look at it.
