Failed to generate ETC texture

    Hi. All was fine till this day. But:
    1)Yesterday I have Build Android game for Web.
    2)Today I have build this game back to android and got error:

    Failed to generate ETC texture
    UnityEditor.HostView:OnGUI()


    3)Now if I open any of my projects and they are already switched to Android Build - all is fine. But when I do Switch Platform to Web and then back to Android - I get this error.

    Who know, how can I fix it? And why I got this error?

    Hi. The problem was in virus. I downloaded USB drivers, but it was very bad virus (including advertising in top of each browser window). So, it wasn't unity problem - after reinstalling Windows - now all is fine.

    Solved. It was caused by some Virus. I re Installed my Windows and it did the trick.

    What virus and what usb drivers? (Tell us so others can avoid same issue) Did you try re-importing your assets after switching platforms? Re-installing windows seems very unnecessary.

    I dont remember. Yes I did try reimport many times. Only reinstalling of window helped.

    Yes, reinstall forever! Re-inst-all, re-inst-all!!!
    P.S. I have this problem while building for android on Linux under Wine. On Windows all fine.
