Would be extremely useful, at least to encourage the development of non-game Unity web apps, to have such a feature available by default. At present, uploading content to a Unity scene and displaying it on a given object requires some tricky methods and very unfriendly end-user experience. Some people have objected that when the webplayer is set to be stopped when in background, it would be impossible to manage drag and drop, but I guess that a small routine could stay alive on the page that would be dedicated to drag-and-drop detection : any mouseup event on the window would wake Unity up, and send the 2D mouse coordinates. This would allow to choose destination in an intuitive manner. Of course, I would also appreciate this for desktop executables.
