Question Exporting animated weapons from blender?

    My character is holding a gun in blender. His animation involves him throwing the gun in the air and catching it. The character's hand is IK'd to the gun in blender, and in unity the gunnis parented to the hand. This creates issues, as while I can export the character moving, I need to export the gun being thrown into the air. Which is tricky, as the gun is being exported with it's keyframes relative to the world, but I can't use those as it will make the position incorrect when parented to the hand in unity. What could I do?
