What format is the model from the store? If it's FBX, I believe Blender can simply import that format.

Alternately, you may want to contact the seller of the asset and see if they're willing to share the source file.

Unity can't export models. There is no need to export them from Unity - they already are exported. However you can import FBX models into blender.

The need is when you want to join let's say 500 parts of a dungeon to one mesh to save 490 drawcalls.

There is an obj export script in the Unify wiki that works in the editor, and exports selections as one mesh. Blender imports Obj fine.

The asset that you got from the asset store is probably an fbx file, which Blend kind of can import, but it's not very good at it and it probably won't come through correctly. I believe that they are working on correcting this behavior(Epic Games just gave them a ton of money to improve the fbx workflow).

This is no longer necessary like it was in earlier versions of Unity. Unity now performs realtime dynamic mesh batching of any objects that share a common material.

In free version? And with any mesh size?

Combine Mesh is a nice idea, but has never really worked for me. That's why i prefer the manual method. This way i can be sure that there is together what should be together.

In free, yes. The biggest limitation is that non-uniform-scaled meshes do not combine.

    Hmm, true.

Here's the link describing the process for anyone who wants to read further on this process.
