export and format questions

    I realized that the .3ds format is much "lighter" than fbx
    for example
    the 3ds the size is 6mb and the fbx is 100mb the two do not contain animations or textures.
    if i use 3ds on unity could there be a compatibility problem ?, are there any differences between these formats on unity?
