    @JoshPeterson . Could you help me with this Il2CPP error. The solution might be in any of the comments. But this thread is so big. I don't know which to follow.

    My error:

    I am stuck at this for almost a month now. I have both ARmv7 and ARM64 turned on as it is required for google play. Kindly help me with this.

    It looks like the error is:

    The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\VIGNESH\AppData\Local\Temp\tmp1CB1.tmp' because it is being used by another process.

    This often happens when a virus scanner is running, it might be locking files that Unity is using during the build process. Can you check to ensure that a virus scanner is not running?

    Hi Josh, I have C++ in Visual Studio, no problem, but each time I want to build in ANDROID my unity project, I have the same horrible error like everyone by the way ! it's very tiring ! Any Solution doctor ???

    It looks like there might be some permissions error with the way Unity is installed on this computer. Are you using Windows 7 or Windows 10? Also, have you installed Unity as the same user account that you are using to run it?

    For some reason, building to that folder requires special permission, try creating a new folder, for ex., C:\Temp and build there.

    The error indicates there's an issue with NDK installed, did you install it together with Unity? Also check that in Preferences->External Tools you're using the Recommended NDK Path.

    Check function names followed by "undefined reference to ", those mean you don't have those functions available for Android, either provide the implementation or ifdef out the caller code for those functions

    [SOLVED]
    Actually there was a folder named third party and it had ARkit plugins and I wasn't even using it. I deleted it and build was successful.

    what do you mean ?? 'cause I found a folder "Third Party" in NDK folder then in SOURCES folder, I move it in desktop but still same errors like il2cpp-exe did not run properly ! are you talking about the same folder ??

    This looks like something is wrong with the Android NDK installation, although sadly the error messages don't tell us what specifically is missing.

    Can you try to install the NDK from the Unity Hub instead?

    The native compiler has crashed, sadly this is not something we can fix, what you could do - check E:\Code_Thailand\g03_client\Temp\StagingArea\Il2Cpp\il2cppOutput\Bulk_Assembly-CSharp_1.cpp if there are any big structures/functions inside, rearranging them might help fix your problem.

    You may also want to try your project with Unity 2019.4 or later. We are using the r19 NDK from Android in those Unity versions. Maybe this compiler crash was corrected.

    This is a known bug in the native linker from the Android NDK. The executable size of the code generated by IL2CPP it rather large, and the linker crashes trying to generate the final binary.

    It looks like you have script debugging enabled for this build. I suspect that disabling that will work around this issue, as that will make the code size much smaller.

    Additional, 2021 versions of Unity, which are just starting alpha releases now, have a newer version of the Android NDK (r21d) where this bug is corrected.

    Hello, I face the same problem and I change the folder to the path use only ASCII, but its doesnt work.

    Hello guys
    Could anyone please tell me how to fix this problems
    I have tried many ways above but i can't figure it out

    Which Windows version are you using? And how it Unity installed? Usually Unity should be installed as the same user that is running it.

    Hi @JoshPeterson, Can you please help me out with the below error. I am trying to migrate this old project from GVR to Cardboard XR plugin. I haven't removed GVR completely, I am unsure if that is causing this issue. For android I am able to build using Mono but for iOS, IL2CPP build fails with the following error:

    This looks like a bug in IL2CPP. Can you submit a bug report for this issue? Also, you maybe want to try 2019.4.25, the latest LTS release in the 2019.4 series. I don't specifically recall that this issue was corrected, but it might have been.

    Just tried to build using Unity 2019.4.25 but I have the exact same error.
    Due to its large size, I think, I will have to minify the project before submitting a bug report.
    By any chance are there any workarounds that I can try?

    I'm not quite sure. The System.Configuration.dll is not supported by IL2CPP, although anything that uses it should fail at run time, not build time. If you can determine what is use that and remove it, that might work around this issue.

    @JoshPeterson My project is in the Desktop and my windows language is Thai version so the Desktop name in Thai that why when I move my project to drive c it fixed my problem.

    1336918 (Open) IL2CPP build always fails with error for type 'System.Configuration.Configuration'

    Is there any update on this? I received one email from Dalius Budrys. He threw at me a compiler error that he got on his system :
    UnityEditor.BuildPlayerWindow+BuildMethodException: Error building Player because scripts had compiler errors
    at UnityEditor.BuildPlayerWindow+DefaultBuildMethods.BuildPlayer (UnityEditor.BuildPlayerOptions options) [0x002b3] in /Users/bokken/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Mono/BuildPlayerWindowBuildMethods.cs:194

    I never had this error on my system, so I do not have any idea about it. Above error is not related to the original issue for which I had filed a bug report. But I haven't received any response after that. One month has passed but I am not even sure if you guys were able to reproduce the issue that I was facing. Please update me on this. I am eagerly waiting for the fix. We have a broken app on the app store which needs to be fixed. The client is escalating, but there is no response from Unity.

    I noticed a response from Dalius Budrys on the fogbugz (surprisingly I did not receive it in my email). But there is nothing fruitful. He says he cannot fix the compiler error. He has send the project back to me and says that he needs my help. I can see there is an compiler error in this version that he has provided but cannot find it in the original version on my PC. Can this be something that happened due to the project transfer process? Can we use another way to transfer the project?
