Whenever I add a new object in it has a weird brown material. How do I fix this?

    In the
    Hierarchy
    , you can see a
    Directional Light
. Click on it and, in the
    Inspector
on the right, you should see some values that you can modify.

Based on your screenshot, it looks like the color of the light may be causing your 3D model to look brown.

Look at the color. Make sure it's white.

If the directional light is already white then it could be the ambient light that has a tint to it. This would be under window->Rendering->Lighting settings. then look under "environment" / "environment lighting". Change the source to "color" and then set the color to white.

Go to the model's import settings and look at the "materials" tab.
