    Hi everyone,

We are using OpenAL as audio backend and Everyplay iOS for recording video game sessions. The video is recorded well but the sound seems to have some kind of echo or pitch change when recorded that doesn't have during the playback in the game. We have tried every possible Everyplay option (motionFactor, lowMemoryDevice, workaroundFrameJerking) to see if that helped to no avail.

Is there anything that could be affecting the sound recording through OpenAL? When using AudioPlayer this issue doesn't seem to be happening.

I attach two sound clips extracted from the video recordings, one using Everyplay and another one using quicktime.

    Thank you.

    Hello @keianhzo1 ,

    Thanks for your patience.

Apologies for the long response time, we had to track down that specific device.
We were indeed able to reproduce the audio 'echo' issue on the device and are looking into it.
I will update here once we know more.

    Cheers,
    Simo

    Thanks @ullatussimo!

Looking forward to hear from a fix.

Just in case it helps the issue is really noticeable in iPad and iPad Mini devices but iPod and iPhone devices don't seem to be affected.

    Thank you.

    Hi @keianhzo1 ,

    Thanks for your response.

Can you please list out all devices & iOS versions that you have seen this behaviour on?
This will help us verify that the fix will solve the issue on all affected devices.

    Cheers,
    Simo

    Hi @ullatussimo,

We have detected the behaviour in:
    • iPad 2 (9.0)
    • iPad Mini (8.0)
    • iPad 2 (7.0)
    • iPad Mini (1st Gen) (8.2)
We haven't tested in any more devices but it seems that it's happening in iPad and iPad Mini devices.

    Thank you!

    Hi @ullatussimo

Any update about the issue? Were you able to reproduce it? Any idea when a fix would be available?

    Thanks!
