Error with Asset Bundles and ScriptableObjects (specifically TextMesh Pro)

    Has anyone had any luck getting TextMesh Pro to play nice with asset bundles?

    When I attempt to instantiate a prefab that uses TMPro, first I receive the error that the font is null, then Unity gives the error 'Fixing reference to the runtime script in scene file!' which causes it to reload the assemblies and thus crashes the game.

    All of the required assets are included in asset bundles.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Using Unity 5.5.2f1, issue occurs in standalone builds and in the editor.
