    Hey Guys,

Im running into an issue I cant get around as I dont know enough about DLLs and assemblies and so on.

Im getting the following error when calling any Addressables Functions:

Assets\Scripts\Runtime\Systems\GameSetupSystem.cs(48,59): error CS0012: The type 'AsyncOperationHandle<>' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. You must add a reference to assembly 'Unity.ResourceManager, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

I have tried looking into .csproj files but I dont know what Im looking at there too much and it seems like there is already a reference to Unity.ResourceManager.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Did you add the Addressables package through the Package Manager?

Yes I did. I just unistalled the package and reinstalled and am getting the same thing. When I was on the "verified" 1.8.5 version I was also getting the below error so I changed version to 1.16.15.

Library\PackageCache\com.unity.addressables@1.8.5\Editor\Build\DataBuilders\BuildScriptBase.cs(80,99): error CS1061: 'BuildLog' does not contain a definition for 'FormatAsTraceEventProfiler' and no accessible extension method 'FormatAsTraceEventProfiler' accepting a first argument of type 'BuildLog' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

Thanks for getting back to me!

They seem to have fixed it in Version 1.16.16 (released on January 27, 2021).
