Question Error on loading the Vivox sample scene

    I've consistently been getting this error when I start the Vivox Sample scene.
    I've downloaded the Vivox package on 2 different machines, and with multiple new projects, but it is always the same error. (403 or 404)

    Can someone please help me understand what is happening here.

    I've checked this on the 2021 and 2022 versions of Unity. The Vivox package is the current version.

    I have gotten this error once before and that was when I was using Unity credentials from the Unity Gaming Services (UGS) dashboard. The conclusion I came to was that Unity Credentials are not working, or Unity Vivox service is down. I came to this conclusion because I also had credentials from the Vivox Developer Dashboard that worked so their servers were still up and running. So maybe try and use Vivox Developer Portal credentials instead.

    Unity recently updated Vivox package version so make the version is Version 15.1.210000-pre.1. I would also reimport the chat scene and make sure your credentials are correct. It may be worth regenerating your token key ugs_vivox_dashboard.png

    If none of these things work then check if you have antivirus software that is blocking Vivox, make sure you are not using a mobile hotspot, or try using VPN if you live in a country that has internet restrictions, or if you are using a school or company network make sure they are not blocking VOIP communications. Hope one of these tips help you out

    I don't have an account on the Vivox Developer Portal. And if I try to make a new account, it directs me to the Unity Dashboard. So can't go that route.

    On the UGS Dashboard I have regenerated the token several times, but the error continues. I also don't think the issue is related to their Servers being down because this error has consistently been occurring since many days now.

    I don't understand how should using a mobile hotspot affect Vivox? I don't use a mobile hotspot, but people in general do use it all the time. This shouldn't be one of the limitations if it is.

    Anyways, I've raised a ticket with UGS. I'm still awaiting to hear back from them.
