    hi All -
I'm an experienced programmer who was turned on to Unity a couple months ago ... been working with it since mid-August, and figured I would jump in with both feet. Here is my first (hopefully of many) efforts.

Epic Space Battle is a fast-paced classic arcade style shooting one on one combat game.
Imagine testing your skills directly against someone else either remote or local in an intense space duel experience at your computer, console, or your tablet device. Explosions flash across the screen as you frantically attempt to dodge a flurry of weapons fire while racing to beat your opponent to a power-up that could change the tide of battle. You then bring the rain - overwhelming your competition, thus beginning the inevitable trash-talk and promises of a different outcome on the rematch.
    Try out my demo here

I am also on Kickstarter - (going to need to hire some good artists, etc to finish this off)

    It was pretty fun.
I thought the art was reasonably good, why not spend the first $3000? on getting it onto IOS and Android.
I hate games that restart from the beginning when you die/ complete it.
It would be fun if you could buy, upgrade ships and weapons to start with.
I noticed that my weapons seemed to get downgraded or something after collecting a weapon.

I just played the game, and I must say that I can appreciate the effort you seem to be putting into it, especially post-production: Marketing, kick-starter, website, and so on.

Its not an easy game, which is exactly why I found it enjoyable. A tablet version will likely be more enjoyable than PC because a smaller screen will make the battle more intense. Obviously, you need decent artists to really polish the game, though the art as-is is not too shabby for a prototype.

I wish you the best of luck.

Tough - yes. Beatable? Yes :)
So it all works out - if the game were easy it definitely wouldn't be fun.

The final version will have network play so people can fight each other instead of just the CPU

Hey, do you plan on having some form of voice chat? Could be kinda fun, trash talking each other while exchanging heavy fire XD

Amazing game! Great graphics and sound.
When will you release the final game?

Possibly - the voice chat sounds like a cool idea ... I stuck the game on a couple of other forums... some people don't seem to like it all that much. (I think the graphics and the current "generic"-ness of it turn them off) they are probably expecting everything to be AAA - even if its just a 1 person team at least to this point.

Regardless, I won't be able to get very far without Kickstarter support (I gotta get some good artists and the Unity licenses for mobile platforms - since that's where the game would work best)

Arber, If you go online, you can find tutorials to help you get started.

It really didn't take me long - but that's only because I already had a lot of programming experience. Unity3D is definitely an awesome tool

I thought it was fairly fun for a simple mechanic but I personally wouldn't play something like this often. I think if you need art, you might just bite the bullet and find someone who is willing to split the money once it is completed rather then trying to raise money for it. It's just my honest opinion but I hope it does well, I know the feeling of wanting something better that is in your reach but you can't get it.

    All the best.

    thanks, Typane -

This game isn't meant to be played all the time... I'm targeting the casual (and mobile) game market, kinda like a good mini game you can pick up and beat some people at for a bit to blow off steam. The final game will be networkable and also where possible allow 2 players on the same machine. (and have an updated look with better art)
