Question Entities 1.0.8

    Seeing documentation for 1.0.8.
    Release coming or I just didn't notice??

    AFAIK this is an upcoming release that wasn't announced yet. The release date is a placeholder.

    When creating a new project in Unity 2022.2 and installing "com.unity.entities" you get version 1.0.8 so it seems released to me.

    Interesting. In 2023.1 I am only seeing pre.65 as the latest version

    EDIT: Though if I manually modify the manifest and set it to 1.0.8 I do indeed get that version. pre.65 is the latest shown in UPM though.

    We haven't tested 1.0.8 with 23.1, only with 22.2. So YMMV.

    Ah that would explain it. I am actually running into issues. I'll roll back.

    I don't think there even is a 22.3 release yet. That would be the 2022 LTS stream which to my knowledge hasn't been released yet.

    Yeah, the docs imagined the LTS would come out sooner, but it works fine with the current 22.2 (except webgl, the fix for which landed in the staging branch a while ago, but which I guess will be released in 22.2.21, or something).

    Also, this whole thing is a bit confused, because 22.3 is just 22.2 with slightly more seasoning, whereas 22.1 for example is a whole different animal. Each .1 and .2 release represents a separate branchoff from trunk, whereas each .3 release is just the .2 release that we arbitrarily rename .3 when we think it's "stable enough."
