Enlighten questions (auto UV max distance)

    Many objects in my scene have badly stretched UVs. I found that it relates to the "Auto UV max distance" option.

    Should the default value work that way? Is it intentional, that it stretches UV islands? or maybe it expects UVs prepared in a specific manner (no flipping or something)?
