I'm using an emissive material to create a lava-like effect on a scene, and although the lighting (sometimes) shows up correctly in the editor, when I actually do a build of the app the emmisive material doesn't emit any light. It seems this is because Enlighten hasn't updated the lightmap snapshot attached to the scene.

Unfortunately, when I build the lightmap, everything seems to work correctly and I see the number of jobs count down about one every 10-15 seconds until it reaches "12/15 Bake Indirect 1 jobs", whereby my CPU fans switch off and the usage drops to practically nothing, and it never seems to progress past this point. I waited 3 hours earlier and it just stayed at "12/15 Bake Indirect 1 jobs" without every progressing further past this point, even though the previous jobs in the step (about 150 of them) had taken less than 5 seconds each on average.

I've cleared ~/Library/Caches/com.unity3d.UnityEditor/GiCache/ of all subfolders and also deleted the lightmap snapshop and sky probe files from the subfolder it creates alongside my scene, however it still seems to get stuck at this exact same point. :/ Final Gather is disabled.

Any ideas how I can get it to progress past this point? I need the GI snapshot to finish processing so I can produce a build to send out to people for feedback. :/

Well, I started it running again about an hour before posting that last message, and I've just woken up to see it stalled at exactly the same point.

It only takes about 20 minutes to get to this point from clicking the Build button, and then it just sits there. The thread is definitely stalling on something, as the CPU and disk usage just drop to Unity's idle percentages. I suspect that job itself actually completes but the build process never continues from that point.

Edit: I've just rerun the process with these settings and it completed with two errors:

    The errors were:
    • Failed writing to: '/Users/benjamin.nolan/Library/Caches/com.unity3d.UnityEditor/GiCache/09/09d534a48f90c800f765769b9bb70ed1._comp_light.exr.tmp'.
    • 'Compositing' job failed with error code: 6 ('Failed writing or importing the composited texture file.').
Another edit: OK, so it looks like it's probably running out of GiCache space and can't continue because it's removed something it needs in order to build the next step. Will throw some disk space at it and try it on the higher settings after completely clearing the cache out and see what point it falls over at.

Mine hangs close to the same area, tried clearing the cache and bumping the cache size to 50 gb. Hangs up in same place, with 1.87 gb in cache .. so thinking this didn't fix. I'm not getting any errors in console.

Open Lighting Window, uncheck Continuous Bake. That will do the work.
    Thanks.
