Empty Unity Launch Error when opening a project from Hub.

This is it. Can't open any of the projects due to this error. It doesn't say anything, but here's the info-log.json' output:

Tried rebooting, tried re-registering the license, tried turning the local network adapter on and off, made sure the nVidia drivers and control panel were updated, Windows also fully up-to-date.
Next I'm gonna try uninstalling the Hub to see if I can launch the Editor directly (I can't just launch the executable since it takes you to Hub anyway)
OK so uninstalling the Hub and launching Unity directly worked, but obviously now I can't download anything from the Asset store, and I need it right now.

 

Wow. I just tried googling "ERROR.LAUNCH_EDITOR.EACCES" (from the log) and this here thread is literally the only hit on Google. Wtf.

 

Downloading the old version of Unity Hub from this thread https://forum.unity.com/threads/old-version-of-unity-hub.620128/ helped to finally launch my project while also having access to the Asset store. Obviously this is a temporary fix, but it's better than nothing.

I had this problem and running the hub as a non-admin fixed it.

 

Why is Unity not responding to this?

Funny enough, changed mine to run as admin and it is working. Could just be that is decided to start working and will give same problems again tomorrow after a restart. Ah well, at least I can get back to work for today...

 

Same problem here.

Reinstalling unity through Unity Hub fixes it until reboot.

Hope this thread gets noticed.

Hi all, I experienced the same problem and found that updating the project from an old version of unity to a newer one fixed this. Old version: 2019.4.13f1, New version 2020.2.1f1. I downgraded unity hub to try and fix this to no avail, but maybe try along with the rest of this and it may work

 

I got this message and can't open editor when I manually change the editor execution file to run as admin.

 

Unity 2020.1.4 with Unity Hub 3.0. Same problem. I have run Unity Hub as an Administrator and it is working. Hope it helps.

Somehow still happening in 3.4.1. Very useful error message.

 

I had the same issue and fixed it by going into the properties of the .exe file>compatibility and unchecked run as administrator (i previously had checked the option to fix installation errors)
