I am working on a parking garage scene, and I have directional light in scene turned off.
I am trying to make the emmision map on my open ceiling material light up more of the scene, so it bounces off the floor (like an actual light works), but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong...
I tried changing almost every option, but after changing the intensity of the emission map, some weird colors show up.
I also generated a lightmap in my scene, but it didn't change anything.
How can I fix this? Am I supposed to use spot lights instead of emission maps for this effect? Or is there a better way of doing it?

If generating lightmaps didn't change anything, there is something more seriously wrong than what you're describing here.

Does HDRP have an explicit "use baked emission" flag in their materials? I do not remember.

In any case, I would suggest not relying on emission for this and actually use spot lights. Whether they are realtime or baked lights is up to you and your game requirements.
